Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Wheatland sets Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 6:00 P.M. at the Wheatland Municipal Building as the time and place for a Public Hearing to consider the following:

Re-Zone roughly a 12.013-acre strip presently zoned as Village Industrial (VI) to Residential (R-12) to be compatible to the adjacent/contiguous Residential (R-12) zoning in the Hamlet of Mumford. Please access the map on the public access site or contact the Town Clerk’s Office.

JOBS INCLUDES CHECKING ROADS FOR SNOW AND ICE AND CALLING OUTOPERATORS FOR SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL. NEED EXPERIENCE IN OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SNOW PLOWING EQUIPMENT.
MUST BE ABLE TOWORK ALL HOURS AND HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WHEATLAND SCOTTSVILLE JOINT FIRE DISTRICT TO EXPEND IN FISCAL YEARS 2022, 2023 AND ANNUALLY THEREAFTER, THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $ 150,000.00 IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNT AUTHORIZED BY TOWN LAW §176(18) TO BE EXPENDED ANNUALLY BY THE WHEATLAND SCOTTSVILLE JOINT FIRE DISTRICT (Spanish version).

BOND RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE WHEATLAND SCOTTSVILLE JOINT FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF WHEATLAND, MONROE COUNTY, NEW YORK, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF AN EXISTING FIRE HOUSE; STATING THE MAXIMUM ESTIMATED COST THEREOF IS $985,000; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR; AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF UP TO $985,000 IN SERIAL BONDS OF SAID FIRE DISTRICT TO FINANCE THE COST THEREOF (Spanish version).

The Town of Wheatland has a part time opportunity to serve as a court clerk to the Wheatland Town Justice. The interview and decision to hire is made by the Judge with the Town Board setting salary. LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF WHEATLAND
Notice of Adoption of Resolution Subject to Permissive Referendum

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on the 17th of November 2022, the Town Board of the Town of Wheatland duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of which follows, which resolution is subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to Article 7 of the Town Law of the State of New York.

Whereas, it was moved by Councilman Hazelton, seconded by Councilman Davis and unanimously carried,

Resolution No. 145:

WHEREAS, the Town of Wheatland has established a Reserve Fund known as the “Equipment Capital Reserve,” and

WHEREAS, the Town of Wheatland intends to purchase a new 2023 Caterpillar 420 XE Backhoe for the Town Highway Department,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, subject to permissive referendum, the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to withdraw the sum of $64,650 from the “Equipment Capital Reserve” and apply it to the purchase of said new highway 2023 Caterpillar 420 XE Backhoe.
